Nora Simone was born March 3 at 8:25am. She weighed 8lbs 1oz, and was 18 inches long.

inner city deer
so this picture encapsulates pittsburgh for me--the unpredictable and often offbeat combination of urbanity and nature. we saw this deer next to a warehouse by my work (which is in the city). there was something surreal about seeing a deer in front of a graffiti backdrop in an industrial part of town. maybe he was taking his smoke break.

space bike guy
space bike guy was the first pittsburgher to strike up a conversation with me on the bus. he talked all about how he customizes bikes to look "like luke skywalker's speeder bike, like, like a SPACE BIKE", he said. later, i saw him cruising on a bmx with the front of a car stuck to it, and i decided to keep a camera ready. for amorette, space bike guy was still a legend, till the day we were driving in bloomfield and we had this excellent sighting with footage for your enjoyment.
